Setting up QR checkpoints
Create a site, add checkpoints with plain names, and the system generates a unique QR code for each one. Print them on adhesive labels or laminated cards and fix them where the guard must physically stand.
Codes are tied to your account, so a photographed or copied code scanned from the wrong location is flagged using the GPS check.

QR vs NFC for patrols
QR codes cost almost nothing, are instantly replaceable and work on every phone. NFC tags survive weather better, scan in complete darkness and cannot be copied with a camera.
Most agencies start on QR everywhere, then move high-risk or outdoor points to NFC while keeping both in the same patrol route.
Anti-cheat controls
Scan-time GPS matching, checkpoint order enforcement, minimum dwell time between points and photo requirements make it impractical to complete a route from the guard room.

Can guards cheat a QR code patrol system?
Copying a code is not enough: Guard Patrol compares the scan location against the checkpoint's registered GPS position, enforces checkpoint order and can require a photo, so off-site scans are flagged as exceptions.
Do guards need a special scanner?
No. Any Android phone with a camera can scan QR checkpoints through the Guard Patrol app.
How many QR checkpoints can one site have?
There is no practical limit. Sites commonly run 10 to 200 checkpoints across multiple routes and shifts.
